Welcome to Northbrook Kennels. We are a small, family based Kennels in North Canterbury. We specialize in breeding Chocolate and Golden Labradors. We hope this website gives you some idea of who we are, how our dogs are looked after and how our puppies are cared for during their first eight weeks. We also have some useful tips on settling a puppy into his new home.

Maye is now two days over her due date. A little spray to help keep the mum-to-be cool while she is waiting. Maye is the mum who likes to dig holes to put her puppies in! We are watching her like a hawk 😆
Following DNA testing, we have discovered Tilly is a carrier of EIC. This will never be a problem to her, she is classed as being free from the disease, but being a carrier it could affect her puppies. This beautiful Red Fox girl has had a sore eye that needed some minor surgery: happily she is expected to make a full recovery. Next week will be far nicer for her as she is off to her new home: exciting times for puppy and new family.
