With just five days until her due date, Chewy is looking very big. She has slowed right down and is now being monitored day and night. After this litter we plan to give Chewy a year off, for rest, recoup and some fun trips out.

This little girl was getting fed up waiting for her vet check today. Thankfully, she was content to daydream resting over my hand.
All the puppies had good results, and will be off to their new homes in the next few days. An exciting new start for them.
Taz, the Chocolate Lab, has scaled two mountains in the last two weeks. She is having some time off puppies, and has been having fun getting out into the NZ bush.

After a few days of adjusting, Maye is now doing a wonderful job with her three puppies. They were inside with the family with supervised feeding and bonding times until we were happy she was managing them. Maye is now back in the whelping area, and in full charge.

Mother Maye had 3 puppies on Wednesday. She has been trying to transfere them to a lovely new den she has dug in the enclosure! We have different ideas, and the puppies are now inside, going out to Mum for supervised bonding and feeding time. You can see The puppy just under May’s leg.

Labs have a universal dislike of worming. These puppies were happily oblivious after we sunk the tablets into dog role. Worms are a serious problem in puppies, so the puppies are treated every two weeks.

Amber’s puppies are now available to be viewed. The puppies are also being advertised on Trade Me.

Socialising with children, and outside time, have started. The puppies are two weeks old.

Amber gave birth to nine beautiful, Red Fox puppies, 22/09/24. If you are interested meeting the puppies at three weeks please follow the link for more details.

Chewy’s last puppy left for her new home on Saturday. We now restock and clean the whelping area. We are also settling Amber, who is due in just over three weeks, into the whelping area/puppy pen. As she slows down this will be her space to rest and become comfortable in.
